About the opportunity

The Partnership Development Associate is a hustler who thrives on building relationships. This includes building strong relationships with local businesses, sponsors, and the Nigh community. We are a small team wearing many hats, and you will be an important part of building our community and making our “local drop” events memorable for local businesses, sponsors, and users.

Organizational skills, confidence, empathy, and sales/marketing skills are critical to success, along with a vibrant, outgoing, positive attitude. You will strive to continually surprise and delight local businesses, sponsors, users by building memorable bonds and emotional connections to Nigh’s events and mission. You need to be comfortable being in and producing marketing videos, posting social media content, and doing public relations.

Nigh’s “local drop” events can happen at various times, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends, so this role is for someone who is very flexible in their schedule. You are someone who is career-driven, adaptable, and collaborative. You are looking for an accelerated career development opportunity and welcome working hard in a fast-moving startup environment.


  • Identify, build, and maintain strong relationships with local businesses and sponsors
  • Help local businesses with onboarding, training and to maximize their experience on the platform
  • Work with leadership team on growth strategies, market-making prioritization, roll-out plans and growth strategy execution
  • Provide customer service and support to local businesses and users on the platform
  • Gather feedback and insights to collaborate with the product and engineering teams on the product roadmap
  • Act as a brand ambassador to ensure local businesses and users have an awesome experience on Nigh


  • Very comfortable in a very fast paced, goal-driven sales/business development environment
  • Strong negotiation and decision making skills, customer-focused and sound judgment
  • Agile, adaptable, and relentless in responding to challenges that come with being part of a startup and in a sales/business development role
  • Ability to network and build strong relationships with local businesses, sponsors, users, and others in the community
  • Confident, self-motivated/self-starter and well organized and great time management
  • Outgoing personality, great team member, leadership qualities, and sense of humor
  • Strong desire to help local “Main Street” businesses and passion to transform local commerce to help lift up people in local jobs
